Be ready to experience a whole new way of BEING

 A modern approach to yoga

Kotte’s yoga approach is fresh, fun and unique.
Offering alternative yoga classes, workshops and events all across the country.
She founded Yoga by Kotte in 2014 when she saw a big gap in the industry; yoga wasn’t accessible, physically, neither financially.
Working at a youth trust she also realised that the young people were suffering from mental illness and isolation. She wanted to changed that and started events targeted to our young people.
Offering events that are not only fun but also educational and free, bringing awareness to our community about issues such as waste, racism, and more.

 What They Said

Kotte has a special way of connecting with her students that is engaging, instructive and loving. She is a talented teacher who can reach people from all walks of life with humor and wonderful clarity. Her yoga has changed my life and I’m honored to be her student.

- Chloe Parks

We had Kotte come and run a class with our 7/8 girls today at school! The girls were buzzing afterwards. Kotte gave great advice to empower our girl and knew how to make yoga lots of fun! We can’t thank you enough Kotte - you exceeded all our expectations!! Awesomeeeee!!

- Lizzie Ruth

YOGA to me was always something you had to be peaceful, quiet and super serious about. I was always thrown off by my inability to touch my toes and my inability to stay silent for long periods of time. My flatmate dragged me along to yoga with Kotte and I haven’t looked back since. I dropped all expectations and have enjoyed every minute on the mat. Kotte makes me feel unique and anything goes with her rad jokes and interesting counting techniques!!

- Hannah Orchard

Honestly the best yoga teacher I’ve been taught by. She is so humble and makes the class so much fun. It is a completely different experience to any other class I’ve been to. Would recommend to anyone especially beginners who claim, “I can’t do yoga”. Kotte will change your mind on that one.

- Rhea Deacon

Yoga has changed my life in more ways than i can describe, practicing now for over 6 months, as someone who stresses way too much you have taught me to remain humble, to be myself and to just breathe. Because its not yoga if your not breathing. It has been great to see how your classes have grown over the last months and to hear about the things you are passionate about when you speak at the end of your classes as its relevant and meaningful. I always feel we should applaud at the end of a class to say thank you for doing such a great job. So thank you, and thank you for always pushing me to go to the limit. Peace and Namaste

My most favorite place to practice yoga, get to know yoga and understand your own body and limits! KOTTE is an incredible and humble teacher!! There is absolutely nothing plastic about this class or her!! She really breaks the typical stereotype that society has over yoga. If you are looking for raw, original and beneficial yoga, Kotte is your lady!!! She is a friend as well as a teacher and you feel confident putting your trust in her!! Xxx

I am a high school math teacher and HOD (Mathematics) at Christchurch Rudolf Steiner School where I have been employed since 2010. I have had the pleasure of working with Kotte Aguilar in her professional capacity as a professionally trained yoga/meditation teacher with a deep passion for health and well-being of people from all walks of life. The main features of the Steiner-Waldorf educational approach rests upon an impulse of warmth, inclusion, and diversity, and it is, on this basis, an essential part of the curriculum at our school to provide opportunities for young people to experience well-being in a variety of ways including those through movement and meditation.. Kotte was invited to our school at the end of the school year to provide an introductory workshop to a group of year 9 students with aim to provide these young people with additional tools to manage stress, anxiety, and healthy sleep patterns in support of overall well-being. The experience was well received by the students - a situation which soon inspired students from across the high school year levels to attend yoga/meditation classes with Kotte outside of school hours, with all students, again, providing excellent feedback to their communities.
Kotte has a high level of subject knowledge and possesses considerable social skills which immediately makes her a well-liked and respected member of any community. Kotte's company is naturally sought by young people due her professional approach, reliability, and compassion for others. It is clear from my engagements with Kotte that she will continue to meet people from all walks of life with compassion and kindness through a professional approach. I highly recommend Kotte as a well-being representative, yoga/meditation facilitator, and workshop presenter for anyone who need to connect or re-connect in support of physical- and mental- health, and long term well-being.
